TWO-DIMENSIONAL TELEVISION MEDIA UNIVERSE!

Stereotypes are rampant in the media and it’s not just the 3D world that is to blame. Animated cartoons rely on hyperbolic stereotypes to survive. The fact that these characters are not “real” does not make them any less harmful. Before diving into these claims, let’s take a look at some popular characters in the televised, animated, cartoon media-verse. What stereotypes come through in the pictures alone?
